We're on the lookout for ambitious individuals to join our Vehicle Damage team as Legal Assistant. This role is perfect for someone with an interest in Law or Customer Service and wishes to pursue this as their career. The successful candidate will be providing administration and litigation support to the Vehicle Damage Department, whilst also ensuring the best possible outcome for the client.

Responsibilities

As an Legal Assistant, you will ensure cases are progressed efficiently and effectively by providing administration support to Fee Earners.
Accept and make ad hoc telephone enquiries from/to clients, stakeholders and third parties regarding claims within the department.
Deal with ad hoc chasing tasks from/to clients, stakeholders and third parties regarding claims.
Deal with banking of bacs and any associated tasks concerning banking.
Assist in clearing balances to allow the file to be closed promptly.

Expected Skills and Experience

Minimum of 5 GCSE’s grades 4 or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Experience of demonstrating effective teamworking within a commercial environment
Cooperative and flexible approach
Ability to identify where problems may arise and adopt a solution-focused approach
IT literate
