Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sandwich Maker to join our team. This role involves preparing high-quality sandwiches and other fast-food items in a fast-paced environment, ensuring excellent service and food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, strong time management skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills within a friendly team dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of sandwiches and food items according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene protocols
Serve customers efficiently at the counter, providing friendly and professional service
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and work surfaces
Manage multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining quality and accuracy
Upsell additional menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
Assist with stock replenishment and inventory checks as needed
Follow time management practices to ensure timely order completion during busy periods
Attend and complete training sessions assigned from time to time

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and portion control
Experience working in a kitchen environment or culinary background is desirable
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Excellent time management skills to handle peak periods efficiently
Friendly demeanour with good communication skills, capable of serving customers courteously
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
