As Project Support Officer, you’ll provide the structure and organisation that enables our Project Managers and engineering teams to deliver projects safely, efficiently and on time. By ensuring information is accurate, communication flows effectively and project controls remain up to date, you’ll play a key role in successful project delivery while developing your own career towards Project Management.

You’ll enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where organisation, communication and attention to detail are essential. Supporting experienced Project Managers across a diverse portfolio of engineering projects, you’ll gain valuable exposure to every stage of the project lifecycle—from mobilisation and planning through to project completion and close-out. This is a varied role where you’ll work across project coordination, reporting, document management, stakeholder communication and project controls. You’ll develop a strong understanding of engineering project delivery while building the practical experience needed to progress into project management. Whether you already have experience supporting projects or are looking to develop your administrative or coordination skills within engineering or construction, this role offers genuine opportunities to learn, grow and progress. If you’re organised, proactive and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team, you’ll be given the support and responsibility to make a real impact from day one.
- Support Project Management teams with the day-to-day coordination and administration of engineering projects.
- Maintain project plans, action trackers, risk registers and project records.
- Prepare meeting agendas, minutes and action logs while monitoring outstanding actions.
- Coordinate project documentation through our Document Management System, ensuring information is accurate, controlled and up to date.
- Support project reporting by gathering information, tracking progress and identifying outstanding actions.
- Assist with document control, technical documentation, transmittals and project close-out packs.
- Support project controls by maintaining records relating to programme, change, risks and commercial activities.
- Liaise with internal departments, clients, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure effective communication across projects.
- Help improve project processes and contribute to the continuous development of our Project Delivery function.

Desirables
- Experience within an engineering, construction or project delivery environment.
- Knowledge of document control or information management processes.
- Understanding of project management principles and project controls.
- Experience using project management or document management systems.
- APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent project management training, or willingness to undertake further development.
- £35,000-£45,000 per annum
