Digital Marketing & Content Development Assistant

Working hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

About The Online Beauty Courses

The Online Beauty Courses is a growing global education business offering more than 160 accredited beauty training courses. Our students can study online, at their own pace, from anywhere in the world. Through professional video tutorials, step-by-step learning materials and recognised certification, we help learners develop new skills, expand their treatment offering and build successful careers within the beauty industry.

We are looking for a creative, highly organised and commercially aware Digital Marketing & Content Development Assistant to help develop our online course portfolio and support our wider digital marketing activity.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining online course production, video and content creation, social media, email marketing, website management, customer support and beauty-industry research.

About the Role

You will be responsible for helping to take new online beauty courses from initial concept through to completed, launch-ready digital products. This will include researching course ideas, planning content, filming treatments, coordinating editing and voiceovers, creating supporting manuals and uploading completed materials to our digital platforms.

You will also refresh existing courses, produce engaging marketing content and help ensure our websites, social media channels and educational resources remain current, professional and commercially effective.

The successful candidate will be expected to produce a minimum of one new course each month and refresh approximately one to two existing courses per month to meet our latest production and brand standards.

Key Responsibilities - Online Course Production

Help research, plan, script, film and coordinate the editing of complete online beauty courses along side our course creator team.
Manage the course production process from initial concept through to a fully completed, launch-ready product.
Create supporting training manuals, workbooks, guides, imagery and downloadable resources.
Help arrange models, educators, locations, equipment and products required for filming.
Coordinate AI-generated voiceovers, subtitles and other digital learning elements.
Prepare course videos and materials for translation and localisation across international markets, including Romania, the Netherlands and Germany.
Liaise with video editors, designers, translators, educators and freelance professionals.
Complete quality-control checks across videos, manuals, subtitles, voiceovers and translated materials.
Ensure each course is aligned with the marketing team’s positioning, messaging and launch strategy.
Maintain a clearly organised digital library of course footage, images, documents and marketing assets.

Digital Marketing and Content Creation

Create engaging content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, email marketing and other digital platforms.
Produce reels, short-form videos, graphics, captions, website imagery and promotional materials.
Ensure social media and email marketing content is planned, prepared and scheduled at least 30 days in advance.
Monitor campaign performance and provide reports on engagement, reach, conversions and other relevant metrics.
Support website updates, landing pages, course descriptions and content uploads.
Identify opportunities to cross-sell courses, digital resources and additional educational products.

Market and Competitor Research

Monitor emerging beauty treatments, social media trends and changes in learner demand.
Research competitor courses, pricing, positioning and promotional activity.
Prepare structured proposals and development plans for new courses.
Identify potential revenue opportunities through new digital products, partnerships, platforms and international markets.

Events and Industry Representation

Represent the company professionally at beauty exhibitions, trade shows and promotional events.
Capture high-quality video and photographic content at events.
Conduct interviews and create event-based social media and website content.
Assist with exhibition materials, stand preparation, scheduling and event logistics.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience in digital content creation, online course production or digital marketing.
Experience taking digital projects or courses from initial concept through to completion.
Strong video filming, editing or production-coordination skills.
Experience creating engaging social media and email marketing content.
Experience working with video editors, graphic designers, translators or freelancers.
Confidence using website content management systems and CRM platforms.
A good understanding of social media scheduling, analytics and campaign reporting.
Knowledge of GDPR and the responsible handling of customer data.
Strong written English, proofreading and content-writing skills.
Experience within beauty, aesthetics, education or online learning would be highly advantageous.
Experience attending or supporting exhibitions and industry events would be beneficial.

Pay: From £28,000.00 per year
