Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing techniques, safety procedures, and the ability to work at heights. The ideal applicant will have experience with various roofing materials and tools, ensuring high-quality workmanship and durability. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a professional environment committed to safety and excellence.

Responsibilities

Install new roofs using a variety of materials including shingles, metal, and flat roofing systems
Repair and replace damaged or worn roofing components efficiently and safely
Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation
Operate power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery with precision
Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations
Conduct inspections to identify potential issues or hazards on roofing projects
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining safety standards
Assist in the preparation of surfaces through carpentry, masonry, or plumbing work as needed for roofing projects
Maintain a clean work environment by organising tools and disposing of waste materials properly

Experience

Proven experience in roofing or related construction trades such as carpentry, masonry, or plumbing
Knowledge of schematics, welding techniques, and fabrication processes is advantageous
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and specialised roofing equipment
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
Experience working at heights on ladders or scaffolding is preferred
Basic understanding of construction principles relevant to roofing systems is desirable

This role requires a proactive attitude towards safety, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Candidates should be physically fit, reliable, and committed to delivering high standards of craftsmanship.

Pay: £120.00-£220.00 per day
