KS2 Teaching Assistant (SEND Experience Essential) | Full Time | Long Term | Middlewich area | Monthly Salaried Position, including school holidays.

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a stable, long term role within a supportive primary school?

Vara Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic school in the Middlewich area from September 2026 through to August 2027. This is a full time, salaried position offering consistency, job security and the opportunity to make a genuine difference to children's lives.

The Role

This is a full time position working Monday to Friday:

3 days per week: 8:30am to 3:30pm
2 days per week: 8:00am to 3:30pm

You will primarily support within Key Stage 2 classrooms, working closely alongside teachers to help deliver high quality learning experiences. There may also be occasions where you will provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child with additional needs.

SEND experience is essential for this role.

What You Will Be Doing

Supporting teaching and learning across KS2 classrooms
Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom organisation
Providing targeted support to pupils with SEND
Delivering 1:1 support when required
Supporting small group interventions
Helping children access the curriculum and achieve their potential
Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Working closely with teachers, SENDCOs and parents where appropriate

What We Are Looking For

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school
Strong SEND experience is essential
Experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, SEMH or additional learning needs
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
A positive, proactive and patient approach
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification preferred but not essential
A genuine passion for helping children succeed
