Every wedding or event begins with a conversation.
As one of our Wedding, Banqueting Social Events Executives, you'll be the first person many clients speak to as they begin planning one of the most important days of their lives. From the excitement of the initial enquiry to securing the booking, you'll play a key role in helping turn their ideas into unforgettable celebrations.
This is a varied and rewarding role that combines relationship building, sales and event planning, with exceptional customer service at its heart. You'll work as part of our friendly Commercial Hub team, supporting 32 hotels across the UK and helping couples and clients find the perfect venue for weddings, celebrations and special occasions.
The role reports to the Wedding, Banqueting Social Events Manager and is based at our Commercial Hub in Rugby, Northampton (NN6 7XR).
About the Role
In this role, you'll be responsible for guiding couples and clients through the early stages of their booking journey, ensuring every interaction is warm, professional and memorable.
- Responding to a high volume of wedding, banqueting and social event enquiries via telephone and email while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Taking the time to understand each client's vision, preferences and individual requirements to recommend the most suitable venue and package.
- Scheduling appointments and hotel showrounds for your on-property colleagues to host.
- Guiding clients confidently through the booking process, including contracts and payment procedures.
- Developing an excellent knowledge of our hotels, wedding packages, event offers and promotions, along with local market trends, to help maximise conversions.
- Building strong relationships with couples, clients, hotel teams and, where required, external suppliers to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Managing every stage of the booking journey accurately, from initial enquiry through to confirmation, before handing over to the hotel teams who will deliver the event.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to contribute towards team goals, maintain high service standards and celebrate success together.
Please note: This is a central sales-based role. You'll support customers by telephone and email for our portfolio of 32 hotels across the UK, rather than meeting clients face to face.
About You
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys creating memorable customer experiences and thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
You'll be a confident communicator with excellent verbal and written skills, as you'll spend much of your day speaking with couples and clients over the phone and via email. You're naturally organised, enjoy building relationships and take pride in delivering outstanding service from the very first conversation.
You'll also bring:
- A passion for weddings, hospitality or events.
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude and the drive to convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.
