Full job description

Job Opportunity: HGV Driver (up to 18T) & Yard Assistant – Sub-Contractor

Location: Corby / Kettering, Northamptonshire
Start Date: Immediate, due to increased operational demand

We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and highly motivated HGV Driver to join our team on a subcontractor basis. This position has become available because of sustained growth and increased workload. We are looking for a professional individual who can support our operations and contribute to the efficient running of our daily activities.

Role Details

Sub-contractor position – 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 06:00–14:30
Flexibility: Ability to work additional hours when required
Pay: £150–£175 per day (dependent on experience and vehicle licences)

Key Responsibilities

Delivering and collecting materials from sites (vehicles up to 18T rigid)
Loading and unloading lorries
Conducting vehicle checks and ensuring proper maintenance of company goods vehicles
Assisting with general yard duties and maintenance when not on deliveries

Requirements

Full, clean UK driving licence – essential
HGV licence up to 18T – essential
Experience working with scaffold systems is an advantage
Forklift / Telehandler licence preferred (training can be provided for the right candidate)
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Someone who is flexible and can manage their start times to ensure deliveries are made on time
