Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Multi Trade to join our dynamic construction team. This entry-level role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop a broad skill set across multiple trades, including roofing, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, plastering, and construction painting. As a Trainee Multi Trade, you will gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced environment. This paid position is designed to provide comprehensive training and support your growth into a versatile tradesperson capable of contributing to diverse construction projects.

Responsibilities

Assist with various trade tasks such as roofing, plumbing, electrical installations, carpentry, plastering, under supervision
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned duties
Support the setup and preparation of work sites, including material handling
Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to understand project requirements
Participate in construction painting and finishing tasks to ensure quality standards are met
Follow safety protocols consistently to maintain a secure work environment
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule

Qualifications

Basic understanding of construction processes or previous experience in related trades is preferred but not required
Willingness to learn new skills across multiple trades disciplines
Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and responsibly
Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
Strong communication skills and eagerness to work as part of a team
Basic knowledge of schematics or technical drawings is a plus but not essential
A proactive attitude with a desire for professional growth within the construction industry
