Full job description

Allenby Glass, part of the TradeGlaze Group, are looking for an experienced Factory Operator to join our growing glass factory team in Lincoln.

Working within a busy production environment, you will be part of a small, hardworking team responsible for producing glass units to a high standard while maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and safety at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Cutting glass by hand accurately and operating modern cutting machinery
Safely handling toughened, float, and laminated glass
Operating the glass wash machine and assembling sealed units
Sealing and taping units efficiently
Gassing units while ensuring the correct specifications are followed
Preparing Georgian bar, leaded, and bevelled units
Cutting and preparing spacers
Maintaining high quality standards throughout the production process
Supporting other areas of production when required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Previous experience working within a glass factory
Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Basic computer skills
The ability to work independently and use initiative
A positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work overtime when required
Strong attention to detail and quality standards

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
Friday: 6:45am – 3:30pm

Pay

Competitive hourly rate dependent on experience.

Pay: £12.71-£13.30 per hour
