Hambleton Bakery — an award-winning artisan bakery based in rural Rutland and proudly voted Britain’s Best Bakery, is looking for Night Packers to join our night shift team at our Stretton bakery.

The Role
This vital role is perfect for motivated individuals over 18 who thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a Night Time Packer, you will be responsible for efficiently packing, organising, and preparing products for dispatch during the overnight shift to our shops and wholesale customers... getting the right product to the right place at the right time.. Your energy and attention to detail will ensure that orders are accurately fulfilled and ready for delivery the next day
Shift pattern (5 nights out of 7 on a rota): 37.5 hrs pw
Start and Finish times will vary...
- Monday to Wednesday & Saturday: 10pm – 6am
- Thursday & Friday: 8pm – 6am
What You’ll Be Doing
- Packing and dispatching orders accurately and efficiently
- Working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
- Carefully pack products according to order specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies to promote a secure working environment.
- Working closely with bakery teams so production and dispatch match
- Maintaining excellent standards of food, personal, and kitchen hygiene
- Flagging any issues or challenges promptly to your Manager
About You
- Must be over 18 years old with the ability to work during night shifts.
- A team player who can also work confidently on their own
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Previous experience in packing or warehouse roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Basic numeracy skills for inventory checks and order processing.
- A proactive attitude with a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality.
- Flexible and willing to support the smooth running of the business
- Reliable, with your own transport (the bakery is in a rural location)
- Ideally living within 20 miles of Stretton
