About Catherine’s Originals
Catherine’s Originals is a fast-growing vegan chocolate company founded in 2021 by Catherine. Built from scratch from her family kitchen, Catherine now runs an “all go” production site, in Walberton, West Sussex.
Catherine’s Originals has grown through storytelling, creativity, community and genuinely original, delicious products.
We are now hiring for our first dedicated full-time Growth & Marketing Manager - someone who can help us scale D2C customer acquisition, retention and brand engagement in a measurable, strategic and creative way, whilst protecting the founder-led feel that makes Catherine’s Originals what it is.
This is not a ‘normal’ marketing role. We are looking for someone ambitious, hands-on, analytical and highly self-led, who could/would thrive in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for helping Catherine’s Originals:
- Gain new customers at a significantly faster rate
- Increase customer retention and repeat purchase rate
- Grow the average order value
- Run and strengthen engagement across email and social channels
- Work with our newly appointed TikTok agency to grow TikTok shop as a key revenue channel
- Improve overall marketing performance through analysis, testing and optimisation
You will work directly with Catherine on a weekly/daily basis and become heavily involved in both the day-to-day execution of marketing and the wider strategic direction of the brand. Being a key cog in helping build something from the ground up, in the start-up days.

Working closely with Catherine on:
- New product packaging to ensure everything aligns
- Making sure all streams are seen as one, as the company grows, so we are staying aligned to our core values
- Working with Catherine, ensuring the website imagery is updated and fresh
- Collaborating with Catherine and photographers in photoshoots
- Representing the brand at trade shows and B2B marketing
Growth Opportunity & Future Progression
In the early stages, you will be deeply involved in the day-to-day execution of marketing activities across the business.
We are intentionally looking for someone who is excited by both strategy and execution - someone who enjoys rolling their sleeves up and helping build growth from the ground up.
As Catherine’s Originals continues to grow, this role will naturally evolve into a more Senior/Director leadership position, where you will:
- Lead and help build a wider marketing team
- Oversee marketing direction across all channels
- Contribute to high-level growth strategy
- Know and understand how to delegate
- Understand the market
- Take ownership of wider customer acquisition and retention planning
- Play a significant role in shaping the future growth of the brand

We are looking for someone ambitious enough to grow with the company, not simply manage tasks, but help shape the future direction of Catherine’s Originals.
Non-Negotiables
To be considered for this role, applicants must:
- Have a minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in a similar growth, marketing or content- focused role
- Have experience taking campaigns from idea and brainstorming stage through to execution, analysis and optimisation
- Understand both marketing and sales, and how closely linked they are within a growing business
- Have experience working with marketing budgets and understanding return on investment
- Be commercially aware and understand what “good performance” looks like across different marketing channels
- Be confident in analysing metrics and using data to improve performance and decision-making
- Be highly organised, proactive and accountable
- Be career-driven and ambitious, with a genuine desire to grow within Catherine’s Originals
- Feels excited by the opportunity to eventually lead all things marketing within the business as the company scales
Experience & Skills
Ideal skills includes:
- Shopify
- FMCG experience
- founder-led brand experience
- paid ads experience
- Have worked within an online, D2C brand
Bonus points for:

Location, Hours & Benefits
This is a hybrid role, working from home and on-site at the Factory (BN18OAS)
Suggested Working Hours
Suggested working hours are:
8:30am – 5:30pm
Working hours can be agreed upon by both parties.
Holiday & Time Off
- 28 days paid holiday (excluding bank holidays)
- HQ also shuts down for approximately 7 additional days over Christmas to give the team a well-deserved break
This Christmas closure is in addition to annual leave entitlement.
As this is a senior growth-focused role, communication and general “staying on top of things” is still expected during the Christmas Holiday period where needed.
