Conveyancing Legal Secretary

Are you an experienced Conveyancing Legal Secretary looking for your next opportunity with a highly regarded and supportive law firm?

At Martin Tolhurst Solicitors, we're looking for a proactive and organised Conveyancing Legal Secretary to join our busy Residential Property team in Ashford. You'll play a vital role in supporting our fee earners, helping clients through one of the most important transactions of their lives while being part of a friendly, collaborative and professional environment.

What You'll Be Doing

As a key member of our conveyancing team, you'll provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support, ensuring transactions progress smoothly and clients receive an outstanding experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

Audio and copy typing correspondence, legal documents, forms and quotations
Managing incoming telephone calls professionally and efficiently
Supporting fee earners with a variety of administrative tasks
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client files and records
Arranging appointments and liaising with clients throughout the conveyancing process
Updating information on the firm's case management system
Providing telephone and secretarial cover for colleagues when required
Handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism

What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from candidates who have:

Previous experience as a Conveyancing Legal Secretary
A fast and accurate typing speed with excellent technical skills
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload
Experience working to deadlines with minimal supervision
Excellent communication and client care skills
A friendly, professional and approachable manner
Exceptional attention to detail
A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word
