Overview

Hill St. is a family run, bean to bar chocolatier based in Saffron Walden, established in 2016 and continually growing. We craft a variety of seasonal creations where the quality of ingredients and processes are uncompromised. We exclusively sell our products directly from our stores, and we are looking for a new member to join our team and to be keen to learn in a fast paced, unique environment.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and production of our handmade chocolates, along with our seasonal patisserie & gelato in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
Contribute to the baking process, including mixing, moulding, decorating, and finishing products.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, adhering strictly to food safety regulations.
Help with inventory management by organising ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages or issues promptly.
Ensure all food preparation areas comply with health and safety standards at all times.

Requirements

To have a shared passion for chocolate, pastry, gelato and high quality products
Proven experience in food production, food preparation, cooking, or bakery environments.
Strong background in culinary arts, with particular emphasis on baking, pastry making, or chocolate work.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices within a professional kitchen setting.
Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
A passion for creating visually appealing and delicious confections and desserts.
Organised with excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines. This role provides an excellent platform for aspiring pastry chefs or chocolatiers to refine their skills while working alongside experienced professionals in a vibrant culinary environment.

Pay: £26,200.00-£27,200.00 per year
