We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate, Investment Manager to join the team in our Jersey office.
The role of Associate, Investment Manager is an integral part of the Private Wealth investment offering to external and internal stakeholders and clients. The Investment Manager team provide ongoing investment services to private clients and trust companies both locally in Jersey and internationally. The team manage predominantly Discretionary portfolios with the opportunity to assist with some of the Advisory portfolios run by the
Senior Investment Managers on the team.
This is a permanent, full-time role with 4 days in the office (Jersey) - perfect for someone who thrives in a flexible, relationship-driven environment.
What will you do?

Working with the Investment Directors in promoting and providing the capabilities of the Private Wealth Investments team with a focus on the core scalable managed investment solutions.

The Investment Manager Team proactively support Relationship Managers with client acquisition and existing client retention including annual reviews, deal reviews, joint meetings, client events etc.

Support the Investment Directors in managing a book of allocated Discretionary client portfolios and relationships, primarily by taking ownership of the admin (payments, queries, fees, closures, account opening, etc) that come through the team inbox and providing admin support for annual reviews such as preparation of the suitability letters and investment documents.

There is the opportunity within this role to progress and take on a portfolio of clients in your own name if desired, after sufficient training.

When required, manage transaction orders ensuring deal entry accuracy.

Strive to be a technical expert across all investment asset classes and investment products.

Cascade the investment house views, ideas and insights to RMs, Trustees and clients, as appropriate.

Keep accurate records of all client correspondence, KYC and documentation on central record keeping systems, Salesforce and Content Manager as required.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have

Ideally level 4 qualified or studying towards it.

Targeting level 6 (CISI PCIAM or equivalent).

Investment/securities dealing experience.

Awareness of different asset classes and products including equities, bonds, hedge funds, FX, structured products.

Microsoft Office (excel, word and PowerPoint) are of primary importance

An understanding of the workings of financial markets
