Full job description

Front of House Receptionist – Stuart House

Eddisons, a leading national property consultancy, is seeking a confident and welcoming Front of House Receptionist to be the face of Stuart House. If you thrive in a busy environment, enjoy working with people, and bring a proactive, can‑do attitude, this could be the perfect opportunity.

As the first point of contact for visitors and clients, you’ll play a key role in creating a positive and professional impression of both Stuart House and Eddisons. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to build rapport quickly will help you excel in this role.

What You’ll Bring

Excellent phone etiquette and strong interpersonal communication
Confidence using computer packages such as Excel, Word and Outlook
High attention to detail
The ability to remain calm and diffuse challenging situations
A proactive, solution‑focused approach
Solid administrative skills
A collaborative mindset and ability to work well within a team

Key Responsibilities

Managing the front desk and acting as the first point of contact
Greeting visitors and ensuring a warm, professional welcome
Answering and directing incoming calls
Handling incoming and outgoing mail
Managing the car park and visitor access
Directing enquiries to the appropriate departments
Maintaining a tidy and organised reception area
Supporting clerical tasks such as data entry and filing
Monitoring building security and reporting concerns to senior staff
Assisting with planning and coordinating small events
