Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Part-time Kitchen Porter, where your energy and dedication will keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will support culinary operations by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring all kitchen areas meet the highest standards of hygiene and safety. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will contribute to a positive dining experience for our guests and a well-organized work environment for our culinary team.

Duties

Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and work surfaces to uphold hygiene standards.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers.
Support the movement of ingredients and supplies within the kitchen to ensure smooth workflow.
Maintain cleanliness in storage areas, refrigerators, and waste disposal zones.
Ensure all kitchen tools and equipment are stored properly after use.
Help with setting up dining areas or service stations as needed for meal service.
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to create a safe working environment for everyone.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with food preparation and basic cooking techniques is advantageous.
Experience working in a busy kitchen environment helps in understanding workflow and hygiene standards.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation is beneficial.
Enthusiasm for teamwork, hospitality, and supporting culinary staff is essential for success in this role.
