Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding and fabrication skills, with experience in TIG welding and sheet metal work. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilising a variety of hand and power tools, in a dynamic environment that values precision, safety, and craftsmanship. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to develop their skills within a professional setting.

Duties

Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials, primarily sheet metal components.
Fabricate parts according to technical drawings and specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently during fabrication processes.
Assist with the assembly of fabricated components into finished products or structures.
Measure and mark materials accurately using basic math skills to meet project requirements.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
Inspect completed work for defects or inconsistencies, making necessary adjustments or repairs.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience in TIG welding, with a strong understanding of <LOCATION> welding standards.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely.
Solid knowledge of fabrication processes, including working with sheet metal.
Mechanical knowledge relevant to assembly and fabrication tasks.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
Experience with assembly processes is desirable but not essential.
Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
