Our central services team provides centralised support to the Group. Job Summary:
This role is responsible for providing support to the Central Finance department with a focus on accounting, financial reporting, and analysis. The Accountant will ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, maintain the general ledger, and provide analysis to support decision-making.
Job Accountabilities:
> Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with accounting principles and company policies;
> Manage the data input of bookkeepers within the PGL Group;
> Manage the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, reviewing reconciliations, and financial statements;
> Responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports, including Profit and Loss (P & L) statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements;
> Lead role in the periodic billing cycles for the operational entities within PGL Group;
> Provide support for the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting;
> Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial expertise and support;
> Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and internal controls;
> Analysis of financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement;
> Assist in the coordination of audits and compliance activities;
> Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to provide financial expertise and support.
Minimum Education and Experience
> Minimum of 4-6 years’ relevant experience;
> Educated to A ‘Levels standard, or equivalent;
> Attainment of a relevant professional qualification, e.g. ACCA, ICA or equivalent.
