Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a professional and welcoming Hotel Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic hospitality environment, delivering memorable experiences to our visitors. The successful applicant will possess strong communication skills, a friendly demeanour, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, and in person with professionalism and courtesy
Manage reservations efficiently using the hotel management system
Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services to enhance guest experience
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared and maintained to high standards
Process payments accurately and handle billing queries
Maintain accurate records of guest information and preferences
Address guest concerns promptly, escalating issues when necessary to ensure satisfaction
Uphold hotel policies and procedures at all times to ensure safety and security

Requirements

Proven experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills in English; multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently
Friendly, approachable manner with a genuine desire to assist guests
Knowledge of guest services standards within the hospitality industry
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings and weekends if necessary
