The Position
This exciting and diverse role is responsible for coordinating Personal Best’s education and sports programmes in schools and the community.
The primary responsibilities include:
- Programme Delivery Leadership: Lead the delivery of high-quality provision across wraparound care, PPA, PE, and CPD, ensuring sessions are engaging, consistent, and aligned with organisational standards.
- Holiday Camp Leadership: Oversee the delivery of holiday camp provision, ensuring programmes are safe, engaging, well-resourced, and provide an outstanding experience for children and families.
- Safeguarding Leadership: Act as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) for designated schools and holiday camp provision, supporting the safeguarding culture of the organisation.
- Building and Maintaining Relationships: Develop and sustain positive relationships with schools and community organisations to promote education and sports programmes.
- Managing School Partners: Act as the primary contact for school partners to manage bookings, discuss sport selection, and organise timetables.
- Inclusion: Champion inclusive practices, ensuring all activities are accessible and engaging for participants of all abilities and backgrounds.
- Staff Coordination: Support the scheduling, deployment, and performance of coaching staff, ensuring they meet the required standards, hold relevant qualifications, and reflect Personal Best’s values.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular visits and observations to maintain high standards in coaching delivery and ensure continuous professional development.
- Resource Management: Maintain and manage operational equipment, ensuring it is fit for purpose and supports the delivery of all education and sports provisions.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Educated to degree level in Sports Coaching, Education, or a related field.
- Multi-Skills Level 2 qualification.
- Level 2 coaching qualification in any specific sport.
- Valid driving license and ability to use company vehicles.
- Previous experience in coordinating or coaching at a similar level.
- Excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills.
- Experience working in a Sports, Leisure, or Educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in basic IT systems.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- An enhanced DBS check will be completed as part of this role.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
- Hold a First Aid Qualification.
- PESS Level 3/5 Qualification.
