Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Bakery Assistant to join our vibrant bakery team. The successful candidate will support daily food production and preparation activities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality baked goods. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about culinary arts and bakery operations to develop their skills in a professional environment. The Bakery Assistant will contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen, adhering to all food safety standards.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and baking of a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes.
Support food production processes by measuring, mixing, and assembling ingredients according to recipes.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing utensils and equipment.
Ensure all food safety protocols are followed during food handling and preparation.
Help with inventory management by organising ingredients and supplies.
Support the team during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food production, food preparation, or kitchen environments is desirable.
Knowledge of baking techniques and culinary practices is advantageous.
Familiarity with food safety standards and procedures.
Experience working in a restaurant or bakery setting is preferred but not essential.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
