Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team in a dynamic food production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in food preparation, cooking, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills within a professional kitchen setting, contributing to the creation of delicious dishes that meet our organisation’s standards. Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation and cooking processes, following established recipes and procedures.
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping, slicing, and measuring components accurately.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing utensils, equipment, and work surfaces.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Support the team during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Assist with baking activities as required, ensuring products meet quality standards.
Follow all health and safety protocols to create a safe working environment for all staff members.
Contribute to maintaining stock levels by assisting with inventory checks and restocking supplies.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food production, food preparation or cooking is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
Knowledge of kitchen safety practices and food hygiene standards is advantageous.
Experience working in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
A keen interest in culinary arts and a willingness to learn new techniques.
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends if necessary.
