Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager to lead our retail team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily store operations, driving sales, and ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.

The Store Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining a welcoming environment and achieving business objectives.

Duties

Lead and supervise the store team to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed targets
Manage stock levels, merchandising, and visual presentation to optimise sales opportunities
Oversee daily administrative tasks including staff scheduling, payroll, and reporting
Maintain effective communication with staff and customers via phone, email, and in person
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
Handle customer complaints promptly and professionally to uphold the store’s reputation

Qualifications

Proven management experience within retail or similar environments, with a focus on supervising teams
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse personnel
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous
Demonstrable organisational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and administrative tasks
Experience in sales management, customer service, and implementing sales initiatives
Proficient in time management, prioritising tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting
Familiarity with retail management software and basic administrative procedures
Exceptional phone etiquette and organisational skills for handling customer interactions professionally
Experience in other sofplay, school, nurseries is much appreciated.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
