Pastry Chef de Partie

28k to 32k basic plus excellent benefits and gratuities. Staff accommodation is available. (We do not offer Visa Sponsorship)

Storrs Hall is a spectacular luxury Grade II listed Georgian Mansion Hotel, with a beautiful location and stunning grounds, on the shores of Lake Windermere. We were included in Tatler’s 101 Best Hotels in the World 2022. The intention is that we become one of the premier destination hotels in the country. Offering both an award-winning fine dining restaurant and a contemporary Bistro, that deliver a range of culinary delights and an impressive wine selection. We are renowned for our afternoon teas and desserts, and are now looking for an additional Pastry Chef de Partie to join our kitchen which is a professional, vibrant kitchen to work in, this role will offer an ambitious Pastry Chef de Partie lots of opportunities for learning, growth and creativity. We are independently owned so talent and flair are welcomed!. We can also assist with staff accommodation if necessary.

Main Responsibilities

Helping to produce exceptional quality pastries, cakes, biscuits, ice cream, sorbets and desserts

Assisting with menu planning for afternoon teas and desserts for both the Restaurant and the Bistro

Devising flavours and technical ideas to keep the offerings creative and special

Learning a range of skills and working alongside our very talented Pastry Chef

Skills and experience

Ideally have completed your pastry college course

Looking to build a career with Pastry and refine your technical skills

Experience of producing high quality afternoon teas

Have a passion and talent for producing breads, pastries, cakes, desserts, biscuits, ice creams

Can work well in a busy professional kitchen
