Role Purpose
As Head of Service Delivery, you will provide senior operational leadership across either our North or South regional service network. Working closely with the Operations Director and site General Managers, you will drive service performance, operational consistency, customer satisfaction, safety, compliance and commercial results across your region.
This is a visible, hands-on regional leadership role, with regular travel across sites to support teams, coach leaders, strengthen customer relationships and ensure agreed standards are consistently delivered.
Regional Opportunity
The North role covers Tesco Livingston, Teesport, Goole and Doncaster. The South role covers Tesco Aylesford, Dagenham, Thurrock and DHL Coventry.
Site Presence
You will spend a minimum of 60% of your working time on site, providing visible leadership, coaching and operational support across your regional locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and support General Managers across the region to deliver strong operational performance.
- Drive customer service, safety, compliance, audit readiness and commercial standards across all sites.
- Build trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders, acting as the regional escalation point when needed.
- Use data, site insight and root cause analysis to identify issues and deliver practical improvement plans.
- Support workforce planning, recruitment, retention and team development to build stable, high-performing teams.
- Champion Evolve, process discipline and continuous improvement across the region.
What We’re Looking For
- Significant multi-site operational leadership experience, ideally within fleet maintenance, HGV, transport, logistics or a similar operational environment.
- Strong experience leading managers, improving performance and building accountable teams.
- Commercial awareness, including P&L ownership, cost control and productivity improvement.
- Strong Health & Safety, compliance, audit and customer service focus.
- Confident using operational data to drive decisions, performance improvement and change.
- Strong, visible leadership across the region.
- Safe, compliant and well-run sites.
- Consistent customer service and operational performance.
- Engaged teams with clear accountability.
- Commercial targets achieved.
