· Prove out new programs and edit toolpaths and offsets at the machine to achieve required sizes and surface finishes
· Select and set tooling, inserts, and workholding (chucks, collets, bar feed, steadies)
· Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specifications to plan the machining sequence
· Carry out first-off, in-process, and final inspection using standard measuring equipment
· Adjust speeds, feeds, and offsets to manage tool wear, chatter, swarf control, and cycle time
· Troubleshoot machining issues and resolve dimensional or surface-finish problems

Required Qualifications
· Proven experience setting and operating CNC lathes and turning centres
· Competent in both online (at-machine) and offline programming
· Working knowledge of both Mazak (Mazatrol) and Fanuc controls, including Fanuc CAP-T conversational programming
· Solid understanding of G-code and M-code, tooling, and machining fundamentals
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T
· Confident use of measuring equipment and the ability to work consistently to tight tolerances
