We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Manager to help lead the organisation alongside the Partners, current Practice Manager, and our supportive dispensary and patient services team managers.
The successful candidate will play a key role in leading primary care services, ensuring the practice meets regulatory and contractual standards while remaining financially sustainable. This is a varied and rewarding role requiring strong operational, financial, strategic, and people-management skills.
Main Duties of the Role
· Leading primary care services to ensure the practice meets regulatory and contractual standards whilst remaining financially viable
· Providing strong leadership based on sound knowledge of business management, finance, planning, and human resource management, including recruitment
· Meeting reporting requirements of the partnership and ensuring compliance with local and national KPIs and contracts
· Co-ordinating and leading the operational delivery of services within the practice, engaging with staff, patients, and local commissioners
· Developing effective partnerships with other organisations to benefit the practice and patients
· Taking responsibility for premises management, including security, repairs, insurance, maintenance, services, and equipment
· Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety at Work legislation
· Managing practice income, expenditure, and accounts, including preparation of financial reports for the Partners
· Implementing and maintaining effective operational systems under direction from the Partners
· Ensuring compliance with data protection legislation and information governance requirements
· Supporting the preparation of practice business plans and annual reports
· Driving service improvement, efficiency, and patient experience initiatives
About You
We are looking for someone who:
· Has experience in healthcare, NHS, primary care, or business management
· Demonstrates strong leadership and organisational skills
· Has experience managing finance, budgets, and operational performance
· Is confident managing change and improving processes
· Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Can balance strategic leadership with hands-on operational management
· Is proactive, adaptable, and patient-focused
Experience within general practice or the NHS is desirable, although applicants with strong transferable management experience are encouraged to apply.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
