Full job description

Personal Assistant – to adult with severe learning difficulties and complex needs

Full training will be given regarding the clients specific needs. We are looking for kind, reliable carers to join our small team on a bank (as needed) basis. You'll be working alongside a regular team of 10 carers who provide 24 hour care.

Job description

· To carry out all aspects of personal care.

· To prepare nutritious meals, in keeping with dietary restrictions.

· Administering medication.

· Stock taking, ordering and collecting of prescription medications

· Record keeping using our secure website

· Cleaning, general housework and laundry within the home.

· Taking delivery of and storing groceries.

· Night care shifts available, which may involve all other aspects of this job.

· Rota app for shift information and availability

Must have

excellent communication skills

a calm nature and ability to cope with the pressures of caring for a person with complex needs.

ability to make day to day decisions in the individuals’ best interests.

to adhere completely to the individuals right to confidentiality.

ability to work as part of a team and communicate well within that team.

ability to work alone and adapt to any situation as it arises.

ability to keep up with the physical demands of the position.

to dress and behave appropriately for the support role being undertaken.

to be able to follow a recipe and cook to a good standard.

Ideally have

· knowledge of basic first aid.

· a clean driving license.
