Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts/Admin Assistant to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within accounting and administrative functions. The successful candidate will support financial processes, manage administrative tasks, and ensure smooth daily operations. Experience with accounting software and a proactive attitude are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Assist with data entry and management of financial records using accounting software, Xero
Manage accounts payable processes, including processing invoices and payments
Reconcile supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
Support the preparation of financial reports and statements
Maintain organised filing systems for financial documents and correspondence
Handle general administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing correspondence, and maintaining office supplies
Reconcile accounts and assist with month-end closing procedures
Liaise with vendors and clients regarding billing and payment queries
Adding web orders to the CRM
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations

Requirements

Proven experience with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Familiarity with accounts payable processes and basic bookkeeping principles
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Previous experience in an administrative or finance support role is essential
