Overview
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Ice Cream Maker to join our vibrant team. This role involves creating high-quality, delicious ice cream in a fast-paced environment, ensuring all products meet our strict food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a love for food preparation and excellent time management skills, contributing to a memorable customer experience. Previous barista experience or serving skills are advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an engaging opportunity for those interested in culinary arts and customer service within a dynamic setting.

Duties

Prepare and produce a variety of ice cream flavours according to established recipes and quality standards
Operate and maintain ice cream machines and related equipment safely and efficiently
Ensure all food safety protocols are adhered to, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene at all times
Serve customers with friendly and attentive service, providing information about different flavours and options
Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management of shortages or issues
Assist in the presentation of products to ensure visual appeal and consistency
Maintain a clean work environment by sanitising work surfaces and equipment regularly
Follow health and safety regulations diligently during all stages of food preparation

Qualifications

Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is essential
Previous experience as a barista or in serving roles is desirable but not mandatory
Experience in food preparation or culinary arts is advantageous
Basic maths skills for measuring ingredients accurately and handling cash transactions if required
Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities to meet production deadlines
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Friendly, approachable manner with good communication skills
