Confectionery Baker / Bakery Production Operative
Location: Enterprise Way, Whitby
Hours: We are primarily seeking a full-time team member (32+ hours per week), but applications will also be considered from candidates seeking a regular part-time position of 3 or 4 days per week.
Working Pattern: 3, 4 or 5 days per week, Monday to Saturday (Saturday working essential).
Start Time: Between 3:30am and 4:30am

Botham's has been baking in Whitby for over 150 years and we are looking for a reliable, hardworking individual to join our Confectionery Department.
The role involves producing a range of products including cakes, fillings, scones and breads while maintaining the high standards expected of a traditional family bakery.
Essential Requirements
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic

- Quick learner who can work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to read and follow recipes accurately
- Good understanding of weights and measures
- Experience mixing cake batters and bakery ingredients
- Comfortable working with hotplates, boiling sugars and bakery equipment
- High standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness
- Physically fit and able to lift ingredients, equipment and carry out manual handling tasks
- Due to the early start times, applicants should have reliable transport and be able to travel to Enterprise Way throughout the year
Desirable
- Previous bakery or food production experience
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures
