Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a busy kitchen environment and develop essential culinary skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients
Support the cooking process under supervision, ensuring dishes are prepared efficiently and to standard
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Organise ingredients and supplies to facilitate smooth kitchen operations
Support meal preparation for various service periods, ensuring timely delivery of dishes
Assist with serving food to customers or staff as required
Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels to ensure availability of necessary ingredients

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous
Basic cooking skills and familiarity with food preparation techniques are preferred
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
Willingness to learn new skills and contribute positively to the team
