Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Room Attendant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and presentation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy creating a welcoming environment for guests. Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The position is paid and suitable for those seeking part-time or full-time employment.

Duties

Clean and sanitise guest rooms, including beds, bathrooms, and all surfaces, adhering to company standards.
Change bed linen, replenish amenities, and ensure all items are in proper place.
Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as corridors, lobbies, and stairwells.
Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning to management.
Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment.
Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively, ensuring proper storage after use.
Assist with laundry duties when required, including sorting, washing, and folding linens.
Maintain organised storage of cleaning supplies and equipment.

Skills

Experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following instructions accurately.
Good organisational skills to manage time effectively across multiple rooms or areas.
Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
Excellent communication skills to report issues clearly and work collaboratively with team members.

Pay: £12.71-£12.72 per hour
