Deputy Nursery Manager

We are looking for a passionate, motivated, and dedicated Deputy Nursery Manager to join our welcoming nursery team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Nursery Manager and Director to help lead a high-quality early years provision where children, families, and staff are valued, supported, and encouraged to thrive.

What You'll Be Doing
As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of the nursery, supporting staff to deliver outstanding practice and ensuring the highest standards of care and education.
You will:
- Support the Nursery Manager in leading and developing the nursery team.
- Inspire, mentor, and motivate practitioners to achieve their full potential.
- Promote a positive, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
- Monitor children's learning and development through the EYFS framework and Tapestry.
- Ensure safeguarding, welfare, and compliance requirements are consistently met.
- Build strong partnerships with families and outside agencies.
- Help maintain high standards of teaching, learning, health and safety, and operational practice.
- Act as a role model for excellent early years practice.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements.
- Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
- Safeguarding Training.
- Experience working within an early years setting.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A positive, proactive, and professional approach.
Desirable
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
- Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Prevent Duty and British Values Training.
- GDPR Training.

Hours
Full Time – 42.5 hours per week
Working on a rota between 7:00am and 6:00pm
