We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with good attention to detail to work at our busy manufacturing facility. This job role offers a wide variety of work and can be intense at times, with numerous orders/projects running adjacent to one another. Therefore, the individual needs to be flexible and work well under pressure. A full UK driving licence is essential and all applicants must have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
We want to employ a team player who will actively assist with improvements throughout the business and have a positive attitude towards the development of our products and processes.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be part of the production team working as a General and Assembly Operative.
Your role shall include all site labouring tasks, including but not limited to the following;
- Assisting press brake operatives.
- Assisting laser cutter operatives.
- Working with goods in/out.
- Assisting with quality inspections.
- Driving company vehicles for deliveries/collections.
- Operating forklift trucks.
Other tasks include;
- Regular housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Competent knowledge of Maths and English
- Good attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to maintain concentration, even under pressure.
- Be able to use basic hand tools competently.
- Must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, proactive and organised.
- Must have a positive attitude.
- Be able to work as part of a team.
- Be able to adapt quickly and manage workload with prior instruction.
- Ideally a basic understanding of engineering drawings.
- Previous experience operating forklift trucks is preferred.

Salary
Initial salary £15.00 per hour.
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:30
- Friday 07:30 - 12:30
Note that overtime may be required based on customer demands and workload. This overtime may be before or after the working hours stated above.
