Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Painter/Decorator to bring spaces to life with expert craftsmanship and attention to detail. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming interiors and exteriors through high-quality painting and decorating techniques. Your energetic approach will help us deliver outstanding results that enhance the aesthetic appeal and value of our projects. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction and renovation sites, showcasing your creativity and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces meticulously by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and care, following project specifications and safety standards
Use a variety of tools including brushes, rollers, sprayers, and scaffolding to complete decorating tasks efficiently
Collaborate with team members and clients to understand project requirements, timelines, and desired outcomes
Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste responsibly
Conduct inspections during and after completion to ensure high standards of workmanship are met
Communicate effectively with team members regarding progress, challenges, or adjustments needed during projects

Requirements

Proven experience in construction painting and decorating with a strong portfolio of completed projects
Ability to operate driving vehicles safely to access various work sites as needed
Excellent communication skills in English for clear coordination with team members and clients
Knowledge of different painting techniques, materials, and surface preparation methods
Strong physical stamina to stand, climb ladders, lift materials, and work in various environments for extended periods
Valid driving license is preferred to facilitate transportation between multiple job sites
Good understanding of safety protocols relevant to construction painting environments
