Ideal start date: early to mid September 2026
YorLinc is a specialist provider of Non-Medical Help (NMH) services, known in Scotland as Non-Medical Personal Help (NMPH), on a mission to transform the quality and reach of support for disabled students across the UK. We help students access the high-quality academic and personal support they’re entitled to through the Disabled Students’ Allowance. We’re growing quickly, and as our partnerships work brings more students to us, we’re now looking for a Student Support Administrator to keep that growth running smoothly and make sure every student gets the support they’re entitled to, quickly and without friction.
This is a role at the heart of our operations, where strong organisation translates directly into more students getting the support they need, when they need it.
The Role
As Student Support Administrator, you will be at the heart of YorLinc’s student support operations, making sure students can access their allocated Non-Medical Help quickly and efficiently. From guiding students and support workers through the process to gathering documentation and keeping records accurate, this is a role where your organisation makes a direct difference to students’ lives.
You will report to the Student Support Manager and work as part of a small, supportive team based in our Lincoln office. If you enjoy bringing order to a busy workload, like helping people, and can confidently manage competing priorities, you will fit right in.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and encourage students to take up their allocated Non-Medical Help provision
- Contact students to gather the documentation needed and keep paperwork moving promptly
- Maintain accurate student records, databases, and electronic filing systems
- Make sure documentation is stored correctly and in line with company procedures
- Support NMH support workers with administrative queries and resolve issues where you can
- Liaise with students and support workers to keep support running smoothly
- Produce reports on student numbers, NMH provision, and service activity when needed
- Handle email correspondence and respond promptly to students, support workers, and colleagues
- Keep internal systems updated with accurate, up to date student information
- Support the wider administration team with general duties as required
What Success Looks Like
- Students move quickly and smoothly from allocation to active support
- Records and systems are accurate, current, and reliable
- Documentation is gathered promptly so nothing stalls a student’s support
- Support workers feel well supported and able to do their best work
- Students consistently experience YorLinc as responsive, organised, and easy to deal with
What We’re Looking For
- At least one year’s experience in an administrative role
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Confident using Microsoft Office and quick to learn new systems
- Excellent organisation and customer service skills
- Calm under pressure, with a track record of meeting deadlines
- A genuine enjoyment of helping people and building positive working relationships
- Strong initiative and a problem-solving mindset
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team
- Excellent attention to detail and the discipline to keep confidential records accurate
- Experience in DSA, higher education, or disability support is an advantage but not essential
Salary and Benefits
- £26,000 salary, as an accredited Living Wage Employer
- 20 days’ holiday plus bank holidays plus additional paid leave over Christmas and New Year
- Early finish on Fridays (4:30pm)
- Casual dress code
- NEST government pension scheme
- Private Medical Insurance
- City centre location with free parking

Working Hours
- 37 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30am to 5:00pm
- Friday: 8:30am to 4:30pm
- Office-based in central Lincoln, closed weekends, bank holidays, and over the Christmas period
