Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)

Receptionist/Admin Assistant Band 2

CAMHS Intellectual Disability Team Astley Ainslie Hospital, Edinburgh

19 hours per week worked over 3 days between Monday and Friday 09.00 17.00

Please note: As this post is part-time, the salary will be pro-rata.

We are looking for an individual who is motivated, enthusiastic with the ability to work well under pressure.

You will support the day-to-day functions and duties of the wider team providing a high-quality administration service to patients/families and the multidisciplinary sector team and other users of the Service.

You will be expected to communicate effectively with patients/families, clinicians, professionals and other administration staff.

It is desirable that applicants possess administration experience within the NHS Health Service or a similar environment.

The post requires the successful applicant to have the following skills.

Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
Excellent oral and written skills.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise
Excellent IT skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Packages

The post will be based at CAMHS Intellectual Disability Team at Astley Ainslie Hospital, Edinburgh and you will be asked to work from the CAMHS Unit at Royal Hospital for Children & Young People around cover arrangements as required.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record.
