Café Supervisor
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Café Supervisor to support our Café Manager and Assistant Café Manager in the day-to-day running of our busy café. This is a hands-on role, leading the front-of-house team during shifts and ensuring excellent customer service, smooth operations, and high presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily café operations and lead the front-of-house team during shifts.
- Deliver and promote exceptional customer service.
- Allocate tasks and support café assistants and baristas throughout service.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and customer experience.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or operational issues.
- Resolve customer queries and support the team in handling busy service periods.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene, allergen, HACCP, and health & safety procedures.
- Complete daily hygiene and safety checks.
- Assist with training, coaching, and developing team members.
- Support effective rota management and break scheduling.
- Ensure accurate use of tills and payment systems.
- Help minimise waste through good stock rotation and product management.
- Encourage product knowledge and upselling opportunities.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in a café, hospitality, or food service supervisory role.
- A strong customer-focused approach and passion for hospitality.
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
- Ability to remain calm, organised, and positive in a fast-paced environment.
- Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety requirements.
- Reliable, proactive, and able to lead by example.
- Flexible approach to working weekends and busy seasonal periods.
Craigie’s is a seasonal business, and working hours may vary throughout the year. Shifts and hours may be reduced during quieter, off-season periods.
Pay: Up to £13.25 per hour
