Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Vehicle Dismantler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently dismantling vehicles to recover parts and materials for resale or recycling. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle components, safety procedures, and the ability to work with various tools. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in automotive dismantling and sustainable resource management.

Responsibilities

Carefully dismantle vehicles using appropriate hand and power tools, ensuring parts are removed without damage.
Identify and categorise vehicle components for resale, recycling, or disposal.
Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during dismantling processes.
Use specialised equipment to lift and move heavy vehicle parts safely.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly after use.
Conduct quality checks on dismantled parts to ensure they meet company standards.
Assist with the disposal or recycling of non-reusable vehicle materials in accordance with environmental regulations.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers.
Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, and saws.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, often handling large or awkward vehicle parts.
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Attention to detail to ensure parts are removed correctly and safely.
Physical stamina and strength to work in a demanding environment over extended periods.
