Full job description

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Dog Daycare Assistant to join our team at our busy dog daycare facility in Galashiels. This position is initially to cover maternity leave, with the potential for a permanent role in the future for the right candidate.
If you have a genuine passion for dogs, enjoy working outdoors, and thrive in a hands-on, active environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise and interact with dogs attending the daycare facility.
Ensure the safety, welfare, and wellbeing of all dogs in your care.
Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment throughout the facility.
Assist with feeding and providing general day-to-day care for the dogs.
Organise and participate in play sessions and enrichment activities to keep dogs happy and stimulated.
Monitor dog behaviour and report any concerns to the management team.
Build positive relationships with customers and provide updates on their dog's day.
Drive the company vehicle to collect and return dogs as part of our transport service.
Requirements
Previous experience working in animal care, dog daycare, kennels, grooming, veterinary practice, or a similar environment (essential).
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
A genuine love of dogs and a caring, compassionate approach.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
Full UK driving licence (essential).
Applicants must be aged 25 or over for insurance purposes to drive company vehicles.

Hours of WorkWednesday & Thursday8:00am – 6:00pm
