The role:
This post is for an Advanced Prosthetic Technician within the West of Scotland Mobility and Rehabilitation Centre (WestMARC). We are seeking an experienced technician with strong technical expertise and a passion for training, education, and professional development. This role plays a key part in shaping the future of prosthetics, enhancing service quality, and embedding best practice through structured training and mentorship.
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
Key responsibilities:
Manufacture, repair, and maintain custommade and modified medical devices to prescription within the WestMARC quality management system.
Contribute to the design of custom-made medical devices.
Provide technical leadership within Prosthetics.
Offer technical advice to clinical staff and other technicians.
Deliver, coordinate, and facilitate training for:
Prosthetic technicians
Clinical colleagues
Students
Trainees
Support the development of a highly skilled, futurefocused workforce.
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
Strong focus on training, education, and professional development.
Ability to support and mentor others, embedding best practice.
Advanced technical expertise in prosthetic manufacture and maintenance.
Understanding of quality management systems within clinical rehabilitation technology services.
