Title: General Assistant

Location: Borders College/ Baxterstorey

Salary: £13.45 p/hour

30 hours per week term-time contract - Monday to Friday

Job Description

As a General Assistant you will…

Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast & lunch
Maintain cleanliness of the front of house areas including organising dishes and utensils.
Following proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
Participate in training sessions and meeting related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
Assist in beverage making in our fast paced coffee bar.

Qualifications

Ideally have experience working within Education catering
Have good Health & Safety knowledge.
Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer focused.
Fun and enthusiastic
Have excellent organization skills.
Demonstrate great attention to detail.
Be a team player and enjoy succeeding as a team.
Possess great customer service skills.
Have a flexible approach to work
Barista skills would be an advantage.
