CNC Engineer – MILLER

Location: Hillington Park, Glasgow
Salary: Competitive (Based on experience)

Skills & Experience Required

CNC Milling Expertise: Experienced in programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines using Heidenhain, Fanuc, and WinMax controls.
Multi-Axis Machining: Skilled in setting, proving out programs, and running 3, 4, and 5-axis machines to produce high-precision components.
Fixturing Design & Manufacture: Experience in designing and manufacturing custom fixturing solutions to optimize machining efficiency and precision.
Quality Assurance: Ability to self-inspect manufactured parts and interpret CMM inspection reports to ensure accuracy.
Process Improvement & Lean Manufacturing: Familiarity with Lean principles, 5S, and Kaizen, with a mindset for identifying efficiency improvements and reducing waste.
Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to quickly resolve machining, tooling, or programming issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
Proactive Approach: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively within a team.
Adaptability to New Technology: Willingness to embrace new manufacturing technologies, software, and automation to enhance productivity and precision.

Desirable Skills

Good PC skills for data entry and CNC programming.
Offline Programming Experience, particularly with OneCNC and Edgecam.
