Our focus is exceptional baked goods, thoughtful hospitality, expertly brewed coffee, and a seasonal brunch and lunch menu built around the very best local seasonal produce. From slow-fermented sourdoughs and baked goods to fresh sandwiches, seasonal plates, and comforting café classics, everything will be made with care, ambition and attention to detail.

The Role

We are looking for a thoughtful, enthusiastic, organised and hospitality-minded Front of House Manager with a passion for handcrafted bakes and delicious coffee to join us at the very start of our journey and help drive this business towards success and industry recognition.
This is more than a management role; you will be a key member of the startup team and will be part of the heart of our bakehouse.
You will be the face of customer service and the first person our customers see, playing an integral role in creating a warm, friendly and welcoming experience for every guest.
You will be responsible for:
You will be responsible for leading the Front of House team and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of service within the bakery. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, excellent customer service skills, and close collaboration with both the Front and Back of House teams.
Team Management: Oversee the daily management of the Front of House team, including staff rotas, organisation, training, and ongoing support. Ensure the team is well-equipped, motivated, and working efficiently at all times.
Customer engagement: Lead the customer experience by providing a warm, welcoming, and professional presence at the front of house. Act as the first point of contact for customers and ensure consistently high standards of hospitality and service. Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally, always ensuring a positive customer experience.
Food Safety & Compliance: Maintain Front of House food safety systems, schedules, and procedures, ensuring all team members adhere to food safety standards and compliance requirements. Support the Back of House team in maintaining up-to-date food safety processes and records.
Coffee Knowledge & Quality: Previous speciality coffee experience is desirable, alongside a willingness to continue learning. Support the barista team with an understanding of coffee preparation and machine calibration to help maintain excellent coffee quality and consistency.
Stock Control & Ordering: Manage FOH stock levels, ensuring products are displayed attractively, rotated correctly, and replenished as required. Assist with ordering and stock management to ensure smooth daily operations.
Back of House Support & Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen and bakery teams, maintaining clear communication regarding product levels, service flow, and operational needs. Foster a collaborative and supportive working environment across all departments.
Cleanliness & Presentation: Take pride in maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming environment. Ensure all customer-facing areas, including seating and service spaces, are consistently clean, tidy, and well-presented.
Service Leadership: Confidently lead service during busy periods, working hands-on alongside the team while managing the rhythm and flow between Front and Back of House operations.
Health & Safety: Maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene in line with company procedures and legal requirements.
Cash Handling & Till Management: Oversee till operations, cash handling, and daily reconciliations accurately and responsibly.
Training & Development: Support the onboarding and ongoing training of the Front of House team, maintaining high standards of service and professionalism.
Product Knowledge & Sales: Promote strong product knowledge across the team to support customer engagement and daily sales.

· An excellent communicator who leads by example and helps foster a supportive and respectful team culture.
· Flexible and willing to work weekends and busy service periods as required.
