Skilled Groundworker – EV Infrastructure Projects
Salary: £50,000 – £52,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)
We are currently seeking an experienced and dependable Skilled Groundworker to join our growing team delivering EV infrastructure projects across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term, ongoing work with a well-established business operating within a rapidly expanding sector.
The role involves working on EV charging installation projects, carrying out a wide range of groundworks and civil engineering activities to support the successful delivery of works. Candidates must be comfortable working away from home during the week and committed to maintaining high standards of safety, quality and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out excavation and trenching works in accordance with project specifications.
- Operating plant machinery, including excavators and dumpers.
- Installing utility ducting, draw pits, access chambers and associated infrastructure.
- Assisting with reinstatement works, including footways, carriageways and landscaped areas.
- Reading and interpreting site drawings and utility plans.
- Using CAT & Genny equipment to locate and avoid underground services.
- Working closely with site supervisors and project teams to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and on programme.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Adhering to all site health, safety and environmental procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in all aspects of groundworks and civils.
- Valid Excavator (10 Tonnes or Above) Ticket.
- Valid Dumper Ticket.
- Valid CAT & Genny Certification.
- Valid CSCS Card relevant to the role.
- Good understanding of site health and safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Reliable with excellent timekeeping and work ethic.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
Working Pattern
- Monday to Friday working away from home
- Approximately 60 hours per week
- Ongoing, long-term work available
- Nationwide projects within the EV infrastructure sector
