Full job description

Overview
We are a newly opened Term Time Only Nursery open for 38 weeks per year. We are a small setting caring for up to 16 children. Typical hours 8am to 5pm, 4 days per week (32 hours) during school terms only.

We are looking for dedicated and passionate L2 or 3 qualified Nursery Practitioners to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, experience of working with babies under 2 years, and be committed to fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young learners. This role offers an excellent opportunity for those looking to develop their career in childcare within a small, supportive and professional setting.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging age-appropriate activities that promote children's development across all areas.
Supervise and support children during play, learning, and mealtime to ensure their safety and well-being.
Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Observe and record children's progress, providing feedback to parents and colleagues as needed.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's development, behaviour, and daily activities.
Ensure compliance with all nursery policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Assist with administrative tasks such as planning , daily diaries and maintaining documentation related to children's records.

Requirements

Childcare qualification - L2 or 3 recognised within the UK (e.g., Cache or NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent).
Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting.
Knowledge of the EYFS, child development principles, safeguarding and early childhood education practices.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
A caring attitude with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative when required.

Pay: £26,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
