Full job description

Architectural Technician

We are currently working with a multi-disciplined construction business based in near Brighton & Hove who are looking to recruit an Architectural Technician. Our client have a very interesting and varied portfolio of work. The role will be working on projects in RIBA stage 4 and stage 5.

The role will be working in a close knit team.

Salary range £32,000 to £45,000 (dependent on experience) with other flexible benefits.

Job Duties:

Work alongside fellow team members and agree deadlines, coordinate, and manage workload.
Take a brief and develop task priority in line with project deadlines
Prepare concept designs, with only limited intervention of a manager, for presentation to team and clients.
Assist with measured surveys and preparation of existing plans and details
Resource technical information from suppliers to agree detail designs.
Prepare and submit planning and building control applications.
Prepare detailed 2D design drawings from which costings are made. Prepare working drawings to enable schedules or work to be prepared.
Ability to prepare 3D visualisations to assist clients’ drawings for interpretation by others into CAD.
Attend regular meetings with clients, contractors, and other specialists and assist with progress of the works.
Attend site to assess progress, respond to any changes and update drawings accordingly.
Assist with troubleshooting technical problems associated with the project.
Co-ordinate with other consultants/specialists, negotiate with clients, provide information to team members, negotiate with statutory bodies
Provide general advice and guidance to clients, understand client needs and deal with client enquiries efficiently and effectively

Qualifications:

Degree or qualification in Architecture (desirable).
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Architectural Technician preferred but not required.
