Job Purpose
Working to support and assist the Sales Team in the effective processing and execution of orders, general administration activities, generation of relevant reports and following up actions as required by the team.
Duties and Responsibilities (not all inclusive).
- Ensure that sales orders are entered in line with agreed procedure
- Ensure that business systems and tools, including SAP, are used effectively and in line with business requirements
- Manage the business to business order entry process, order acknowledgments etc.
- Provide data entry and order processing, commercial documents upload into customer web portals
- Ensure all sales related documentation and communications are filed in line with agreed practices and in accordance with ISO approved quality system requirements
- Troubleshoot / problem solve issues, escalating any urgent issues immediately to the Sales Supervisor/Manager
- Assist in the prompt close-out of any invoicing issues
- Collate and produce reports with stats & KPIs as required
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with MRC Global policies and rules with particular emphasis on working safely
- Any other ad-hoc duties that may be delegated by management that are within the capabilities of the Internal Sales Administrator, including filing, scanning and some Facilities Admin and Receptionist duties as required.
Education, Experience & Ability Requirements
Any combination of requirements, which provide knowledge and abilities necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities, will be considered.
- Minimum one to two years sales office support experience
- Experience working in an engineering/manufacturing environment preferred
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written
- Proven track record of working to tight deadlines
- Computer literate – proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) ideally experience with SAP or similar ERP system
